Last Friday, October 17th, our third grade students enjoyed an enriching educational visit to Barcelona Zoo, where learning came to life through hands-on experiences and exciting discoveries.
The day began with a fascinating workshop led by a zoo educator focused on ecosystem protection. Students had the unique opportunity to use microscopes to examine a drop of water collected from one of the zoo’s ponds. This eye-opening activity revealed the hidden world of microorganisms and helped our young learners understand the incredible biodiversity that exists even in a single drop of water.
Following the workshop, students explored the zoo, observing animals from around the world and learning about their habitats and conservation efforts. It was a full, educational day filled with wonder and discovery. Our third graders returned to school with new knowledge about ecosystems and a deeper appreciation for the natural world around us.
